April 28, 2006, Newsletter Issue #60: Onions: good or bad?

Tip of the Week

Onions are a low-fat food, but the same canīt be said for onion rings. Sixty percent of the 160 calories in four onion rings (about 1.5 ounces) come from fat.

Foods such as onion rings and their accompanying batter can be a rare treat when you are dieting. Remember, these fats can upset your digestion more than you would expect, so always take it easy with them.
