Tip of the Week

Increase fiber intake slowly.

A gradual increase of about 5 additional grams (equivalent to 2 slices of whole wheat bread, 2 servings of most fruits or vegetables, or 1 bowl of high fiber cereal) per day is best.

Increasing fiber consumption too rapidly may may result in flatulence and bloating.
