August 4, 2006, Newsletter Issue #74: Fish Oils for Health

Tip of the Week

It has been shown that fish oils can reduce your risk of stroke.

Even small amounts of fish - less than an ounce per day - reduces the risk of stroke in men by half.
The reason is that fish is high in omega-3 oils that apparently thin blood and counteract clotting.

Tuna, salmom, trout and herring are good sources for this oil.
