Mayo Clinic researchers found out that chewing gum does burn calories! Chewing sugarless gum for 12 minutes at 100 chews per minute was found to burn an extra 11 calories in an hour. There are surely more effective exercises which donīt tire your jaw and irritate the people around you as much as chomping on gum, but itīs an interesting idea!
